Remote Start....Already Included ?

...so i have a 2014 Toyota 4runner bought since April of Last Year.i took it to a local Car Stereo Shop for Remote Start Installation with my own equipment.i paid $300 and the technician couldn't get the job done.This happened over the weekend so he couldn't call up the company for trouble shooting help.with enough frustration from the extreme cold weather and not having remote start to warm up my 4runner,i came back on monday and demanded the technician uninstall everything and put it back the way it was.last night at my job's parking lot i found out my 4runner had remote start already equipped ...i press lock 3 times and hold on the 3rd press.i tested it just out of curiosity lol and it worked .i now realized the technician did his job but we both didnt know the 4runner has factory remote start already equiped.my job's parking lot is not close enough for me to start up the vehicle from a good distance.so I'm guessing I need RF extended range or better remote start from my cell phone with 2 way capability.Can anyone please recommend a good cell phone remote start for my 4runner and also I heard having cell phone based remote start drains your battery.how true is this ? I drive to work and back home daily.Thanks y'all i really appreciate your advice you've been giving me.

If you have factory remote start working with keyfob you might want to check if Toyota app compatible with 2014 4Runners.
