Any body know what this is on my 4Runner?

I recently bought a used 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD off road and it had the pictures below installed on it. Does anyone know what this is or what it's for?

Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like an aftermarket microphone.

Maybe there's a number on the back that you could do a search on. I'm with Borracho, it looks like a mic, maybe. Or some sort of 'Play' switch. Is that an orange LED on it?

 

I was going to say microphone as well but that doesn't typically change unless you upgrade the headunit and the headunit appears to be stock.

I was also thinking a throttle response switch, wireless carplay adapter, anytime backup camera switch or a switch that allows you to input addresses into nav while in motion...?!?! Just thinking out loud...

 

Aftermarket remote start, alarm, etc? Looks like a stock radio.

 

Passenger ejection seat button? Nitro boost? Too small for a flux capacitor, I'm with whippersnapper, follow it and see where it goes, hopefully something cool

 

It looks like another reason why I don’t like buying used. Who knows what the previous owner hacked into behind the dash?

 

Purchased from a dealer or a individual?
What type of key fob/remote do you have?

My wife's 2021 Subary Crosstrek doesn't have it. Not a standard factory thing for sure.

Need OP to give us more info. Does the vehicle have any aftermarket items installed-LED light bar, Fog lights, remote start, alarm, backup sensors, etc.

2023 is not likely to have an aftermarket microphone. The little triangle symbol suggests fingerprint reader. Maybe it was part of an aftermarket security system.
