    Hi Folks
New member here, first post. I have a question about the stock skid plate package included on a 2023 off road premium. While doing an oil change and zerk lube I noticed that the stock skid plate, the one behind the front skid plate that protects the engine, (one that has the removable access panel), has threaded bolt holes located at the most rear portion of the skid plate and nothing is attached to these threaded bolt holes. Is this the correct layout or should there have been another skid plate there to protect the bottom of the transmission pan? Should a 2023 ORP have a stock skid plate protecting the bottom of the transmission pan? Mine does not, and with the threaded bolt holes being present but nothing attached it seems that this might be a location for an additional stock skid plate that would protect the transmission pan.
Seems odd Toyota would have threaded bolt holes on a stock skid plate with nothing attached.

I need some clarification on this issue.
    Thanks

It is normal for manufacturers to have threaded bolt holes all over.

Does the TRD Pro have an addl skid plate?

This is an Off Road Premium. I don’t know if the PRO includes a skid plate protecting the entire transmission pan but my ORP has two stock front skid plates, a thin black steel one up front that can hinge down and give access to the oil filter, and another thin black steel one that has the access panel for the engine oil drain plug.

Thanks for the feedback. So it seems that my 23 ORP comes stock with two thin black steel skid plates up front. One under the radiator and front part of the engine and the second one has the access cover for the oil drain plug. But no stock skid plate protecting the transmission pan.

Normal for the skid. The Limited Full Time 4wd gets an air diverter there.
