I'm wired for a 7 pin. I'd like to add brakes to my trailer since I haul in the mountains, so I'll need a brake controller. Anyone got one they like? Are they easy/hard to install?

I suggest looking at the Hopkins Insight modular brake controller. I chose it because I wanted instant override with the manual trailer brake switch without taking my eyes off the road.
This sliding switch is (on a DIY bracket in front of right knee) to the left of the fan control. The "brain" is mounted on a DIY bracket out of the way above parking brake. The little square brake proportion guage is velcro mounted in front of instrument tach cluster.
Only 3 small small holes were drilled in top of the plastic cover to the left of the parking brake. So it is easily removable with no left over holes/modifications.
