Don’t know how I missed this video…

4Runner does well enough here. Some interesting obstacles that test the limits of approach and departure angles.

Certainly argues against going with the new Lexus GX if you put a priority on going offroad and prepared to drop some coin.

 

"Don't know how I missed this video ... " - you missed nothing. 4Runner wins. Always. In every category. No matter what vehicles you compare to 4Runner.

 

That’s a bit of a stretch.

I like mine, but I think Toyota has now reached the point where they’ve priced the LC/4R/GX to where it just doesn’t feel like a compelling choice.

Jeep has sort of done the same thing really.

 

Especially when Lexus is severely throttling GX production. At least you can find JLs in the low 30k range still. I really hope Toyota would one day give an option in the cheaper 2 door offroader arena but I think we are out of luck on that one going forward
