    New Member, First question:

Just bought my first 4Runner, a 2016 SR5, that came with a full set of Morimoto head, tail, fog, and fang lights that look cool, but are not my style. I'm thinking of selling them and replacing them with OEM headlights + LasFit Pro H11 LEDs. Can anyone tell me how the PERFORMANCE of the Morimoto XD LED headlights compares to the LasFit Pro LEDs, or have other recommendations?

I'm looking for low beams don't blind other drivers but also powerful high beams that might save me from having to add a light bar for weekend drives up the mountains.

Best bet is to buy 2021+ oem led head lights and change the harness to fit the lights(there's the conversion harness sold by a forum member)

Thanks. I'm now researching why 2021 OEMs with LEDs are better than 2016 OEMs + LEDs.

The 2021 LED Low and Halogen high is the best version out there in my opinion, the 22+ Bi-LED high+low have meh high beams compared to the 9005 halogen high beams, to the point where my 20 year old Corolla's highbeam absolutely demolishes my 23 4R's.

The OEMs have sideways mounted projectors so installing an led bulb won't give you the full effect. I'm not sure if the OEM leds are sideways mounted or not.

Proper LED optics have a chip mounted on a heat sink that is integrated into the optic. The 4Runner OEM LEDs are mounted horizontally. Not replaceable. Drop in LEDs don’t work as well and became illegal in 2022

For high beams, I have Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited and I'm happy with them.

For low beams, I'm satisfied with high output H11's. But, a lot of folks are running modified H9's.

Otherwise, the OEM LED's seem to be pretty decent.
