^You can make the deflector a bit wider than the intake hole. Seal the top edge where it meets the firewall.

You are a shill for Big Fram! :p

It's the treehugging 21st century, so filters need baffles and prefilters to avoid clogging early.

Or we could go back to the first 95 odd years of the auto industry and just not have a cabin filter.

Of all the things to complain about on modern cars a $10 filter that takes 30 seconds to change is pretty low on my list.

^Did you forget where you are? On this forum people add CD players to the glovebox and worry about the hood scoop leaking water onto the hood insulation...

Seems like the perfect time to shoutout the Ford Focus lifetime engine air filter!

Funny how often the cabin filter gets dirty compared to the engine filter.

Based on that video, I'd place a large bet that 98% of the 2000 Honda Accords still have the oem cabin air filter from the factory installed...

One thing I’ve noticed about this truck and warrants care when changing the cabin air filter. If you remove it, be very careful not to let debris fall into the blower right below!

^You can always manually fish out and/or vacuum out the fan. The 4Runner is well designed in that wiring harnesses for the ECM, 4WD controller, etc. aren't in the way of the filter door. With the Tacoma you'd have to be more careful not to pinch a wire.

98% of Honda Accords of that generation are under the Takata airbag detonator recall, so hopefully they had the cabin filter replaced while the dash was apart.
