    Just purchased new off road toy, many mods to follow. For the last 2 years I have had a 2013 4Runner SR5 just for commuting to and from work. Just retired and now want to do some adventures thus the need for a new vehicle. Bought a 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD PRO. I could not do the 2025 model with the new engine. IMG_8381.jpg

    I spent a lot of time online and making calls. Very hard to find a 2024 and was close to settling for a 2023 had already test driven the 2023 did not pull the trigger and kept shopping for the 2024. Finally called back on the 2023 and was going to go back to the dealer the next day when the 2024 showed up on my feed that night. Not sure about the color yet, but the Terra is growing on me and it is a 2024, last of the 5Gen.

    What is the build date on your TRD Pro? My build date is July 2024. I have not seen any build dates later than July. Someone at the Tahara plant must have made a video of the last 5th gen 4Runner off the assembly line. I would like to see that video & the vin number.

    I purchased it used, not sure of the build date, but the last owner purchased it new in May of 2024. So it’s not the last one to roll off the assembly line.

    I think that's a smart decision. Maybe once I see them in the wild they'll grow on me, but I don't think so. Been seeing more and more of the new Tacomas, and the more I look at them, the more I dislike them.

    The good thing is if you do decide you want one in a few years, your 5th gen will most likely hold its value remarkably well. Heck, you might even make money on it by then.
