My wife’s 2021 RAV4 FOBs use CR2032 batteries and my 2024 4R does also. I have had bad luck recently with Panasonics I ordered from Amazon, after a month both giving low battery warnings on the display. Date code is recent. Maybe Amazon fakes?

Thinking of moving up to lithium 2032’s from Lowe’s which are more expensive of course, not worried about the money, but maybe better? Anyone else have better battery suggestions? Frustrating.

I’ve had good luck just buying coin cells off the shelf at stores, in-person without much thought.

Might be an aftermarket key thing but the key that came with my 2021 (it’s a keyed ignition, not push-start) took a CR2016.
