    Howdy all,
Just beginning to research a couple issues, looking for resources.

1-rear drivers side door child lock, won’t unlock. I have had the door panel off before, so I wonder if I did something.

2-rear wiper and defrost won’t work, could it be a fuse?

pits too cold to take stuff apart and start troubleshooting, I’m looking to gather info on possible fixes, so when I do get a warm day or place to fix, I’m not wasting searching for answers.

2- could be that the rear windshield is slightly down. Even if it’s cracked open (not enough to see that it’s open) the defrost and wiper will not work. Only know this because it happened to me before.

Unlikely. According to many on this forum Toyotas don't have issues

    1) The rear lock doesn’t pull open with the handle if that’s what you’re talking about.
    2) Rear window needs to get rolled all the way up.

1-child lock won’t move to unlock, can switch it off.

    I will double check window.

Wiper and defrost fixed via putting the window up.

Lots of solutions for the child lock situation; you will probably have to take off door card and reseat child lock cable into its holder. One even better is child lock on or stuck and broken handle on the outside, LOL. That's me currently. Have to wait 30 days for color match handle. Luckily local shop showed me a trick to opening door with a pick or o-ring puller through exterior handle hole so I am not dependent on taking it in.

That door is only opened from inside when we have a family trip, then my daughter gets to act all princess and let people open her door. I figured I’d have to remove panel to solve, this can wait for warm place or weather.
