Got the glorious flashing then solid tpms light. With all tire pressures above 33psi. So did the tpms light disable mod. Stupid nanny light!

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I didn't even know that my truck had a heating steering wheel when I first bought it. I got in it one morning to start it and hit the wrong button. I was like "What is that?" So I hit it again after I started the truck, and waa-laa, I had WARM hands. Oh that feature is awesome.

When I pair it with my heated (and power-leather!) seats I'm in heaven. I don't have to run the heat that much when I have the wheel/seat heat turned on.

At first I thought it was dumb or gimmicky, but now...it's on the "must have" features for my next vehicle.

Similar but different: I knew the feature was there, but hadn't had need for it yet (bought mine in June). So, one particularly cold day recently, rolling down the road on the way to work, I figured I'd hit the button and enjoy warm hands. And I hit the wrong button. (Yeah, I clumsily hit the Start button instead.) Holy smokes, the instrument panel lit up like a tilt-a-whirl at a fourth of July carnival! That took a moment to mentally recover from! :D

Now when I reach down, I always (lightly) touch the start button, then drag my finger down until I feel the next button. Then I press it hard so it turns on. Doing it this way (it's a formed habit now) ensures I never press the start button while I'm driving.

First world problems, am I right?

    First world problems, indeed.
I've taken to doing things the opposite way (maybe I'm just a contrarian?) -- I put my hand on my knee, then reach forward, knowing I'll tap the wheel-heat button before moving upward to the start button.

Either way, we've both learned our lessons, eh? :)

I almost did that. I was trying to feel for the stirring wheel switch while driving down a winding mountain road. Thankfully I double checked before pressing the start/stop button.

I’m still looking for a flip cover switch for that button so I don’t do what you did and have a heart attack.

Hoping to see some of that here in Raleigh later today, though the forecast seems to be changing now to mostly ice. Definitely don't want that.

Drove it to work through all the snow and slush on the streets in the DFW area. It's only 2WD but no issues.

Have to go to court this afternoon for a deposition. Several yrs ago we stopped for a early dinner. New small van(Like an over grown PT Cruiser style) parked 1 space away( we park in end spots away to avoid moron door dings) a guy got out & instead of going into restaurant I saw him walking around the back of our car, thought he was coming to my side for something. He kept walking across grass. I had seen a small dirt bike like 80cc Yamaha YZ i think for sale we passed where he was headed. No biggy. That night on FB someone post Ch69 news that young man was murdered at the bike sale site. That Monday I went to local police dept. reported what I saw. I couldn't identify the man except color & had on jeans, work boots untied, jacket license plate only type of van & color, time frame. Few weeks ago I get a registered letter from Berks county Assistant DA saying I need to keep week of 27-31 Jan open. I had know idea what it was about. Then I look up the defendant & he was charged prior for a shooting during a robbery & has been linked to the homicide. Be interesting what they ask. I really can't remember except what I told the police officer.

You're a braver man that I am. I decided to work from home today. I encounter too many bridges/over passes on my way into the office. I know I could drive in it just fine, but I worry about the other knuckle-heads on the road.

i remember this. wild that he strolled right past you.

i ran some errands and got a car wash yesterday...noticed that when i switched the button to the right for the passengers side mirror it didnt respond when i pushed the directional buttons. tried a couple times and it eventually worked...hope its not a problem. my tpms light is on too but i have checked the tire pressure and they are all fine. annoying.

If he was the perp?? Most likely But I can't identify & he walked past earlier & left the parking lot before we finished eating. So coincidence that a person fitting the description came later that night & not him???:notsure:

I've only been involved in one deposition (Lemon Law suit). It was interesting. They'll walk you through it. Just tell them what you remember. Try not to give long answers to questions that could be answered with a "no, I didn't", or simply "yes". You're not on trial, and the attorneys know depositions are new territory for most people.

One thing I was told was that it was ok to estimate. The standard example they use is:

"If I asked you how long this table was, it's ok if you say, 'About 6ft'".

Keep in mind, everything you say will be recorded. Probably best not to say anything like, "After a few drinks, I was feeling sort of buzzed, but knew I was probably ok to drive home." ;)

I'm sure the Defense attorney would never let me testify due to the fact I worked for NJSP for 10 yrs in the Aviation division. So far been summoned 2 different times for Jury duty only to never be selected & I want to go do it just to experience it.

Installed my new canvasback cargo liner. Seem really nice, and I found a couple of dog treats wrapped up in the liner when I unfolded it.

Drove the 2011 to the auto show in Va. beach, Va. hoping to look at the new 4Runner. Toyota lady said the weather was too bad to get one there. I sat in a Supra to check it out and thought I would have to get someone to help me get out of it. They are low to the ground and I'm old. LOL

My story is prob a bit deeper. Back in 2004, my dad passed away. I decided to stay at Ole Miss for summer school (so I could hurry up and grad and not be an emotional basket case at home). My sis graduated that year from HS.

I lived in on campus housing and was working the front desk to make some money. A desk worker (male) had left a note asking if anyone needed their shifts cover to let him know.

My sis graduated on a Thursday and I had a shift that day. I asked that guy to cover and he did.

Friday, I head back to Oxford cause I had a shift overnight at the front desk. By Sunday, we had learned a female RA had been killed and her body had been found by fishermen at nearby Sardis Lake. Of course, everyone was in shock.

By Monday, I had a missed call from Oxford Police needing to question me about the murder of that girl.

I call them back and set up a time to be interviewed by detectives.

As it turns out, that boy and girl had been in an "on-off again" relationship. They were on again, and had a fight at his off campus apt. He killed her there, drove to Sardis Lake, and dumped her body.

Local police were questioning me bout my connection with him. I explained my side and that I had beaucoup witnesses that I wasn't in Oxford that night and was out of town.

But to say the least, i was nervous as hell.

He later was convicted on his murder charge.

We are begging for rain/snow in AZ lol. We can't even remember the last time we had any significant precipitation.
