I recently picked up a 2000 4runner. It came with 2 keys and no remotes. My wife decided to lock the doors when she went into the store this evening. As it turns out, the keys don't work in the doors. In fact, it looks like no keys could go in the doors. I had to use the lock out kit to get it unlocked.

So, my question is this, is there any way to tell if my 4runner has keyless entry? I don't want to purchase a remote if it isn't going to work.

Look for one of these (chirper thingy) on the passenger side fender wall almost at the firewall--right in the corner.[IMG]

Thanks Durk. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to purchase a new one?
