Its not installed even and could possibly leaning against the wall.

Ask the seller to take pics from the side also away from the wall and try to install it evenly. Also look like the base is pulling out on the right.

I’m more asking about the plastic clips being lifted. You can see it’s coming out some which I think is causing it to look crooked

you really should see that seat in person.....
if so and the only thing is the headrest clip area, contact an upholstery person to inquire if it is worth your money.

    It's a long list...
Looks like someone pulled the headrest out too hard and broke the clips that hold that portion into the metal seat frame. Either that, or it has just popped up and needs to be reseated and clipped into place. Either way, no big deal as long as the headrest posts are not bent. Worst case, it is a $10 dollar part to replace. Look at the seats in person and carefully inspect them. Look at the stitching over the side airbag deployment area and MAKE SURE it matches the pattern on the passenger seat/driver seat airbag section. Whenever you are getting used seats with bags, you want to make sure the bags have not deployed and been replaced and somebody has not "restitched" the upholstery in the area over the airbag There is a science to the stitching, thread tensile strength, and pattern there for proper airbag deployment.

im starting to think I should just say screw the power passanger seat and just do Katzkin lol.
Hard to find a solid donor set of front softex seats. And these are over an hour away so I would hate to drive up there and they not be solid

Might be a good call, especially if the accident was a heavy frontal collision or if was rear ended hard. The side airbags might not go off when there are no side forces in an accident. But, that headrest structure in the seat could be messed up from the impact of the driver’s head.

I’m pretty sure the headrests are meant to deform to absorb whiplash energy. Could be hard to assess the seat structure unless you took the seat cover and padding off.

As an engineer, my philosophy is that anything can be fixed with enough time and money. How much do you have? :)

Is it only the front two seats that are available, or is it front and rear. If only the front, then you don't want mismatched interior. If all seats are available, the only way you are going to be able to assess these is in person. The trip might be worth it, or it might not. No way for us to tell.

I guess the question here is the following:

What is the goal of the swap?

    A) leather
    B) heated seats
    C) power passenger seat
    D) all of the above

If it is changing the upholstery only, then katzkin is an option. You can also have them add heated seat functionality when you have these done.

If gaining a power passenger seat is a priority, then you really need an OEM power seat.

If you want all of the above, OEM is the only option. Make sure you get both front and rear seats.

Sorry, as much as we would love to be able to give you the right answer, the only one who can answer it is you and that might require the drive to go take a look at the seats.

Too poor to buy anything now
To me, the headrest looks a little twisted but that might be because of the plastic piece being dislodged (or needing replacement).

If clip is broken use the one from the seats you're taking out.:notsure:

4runners have active headrests that move in the event of an accident (I don't know what year that started). I don't know anything more about them than what is the OM, but I would expect that no, that cannot be fixed because they were activated during an accident.

My 4Runner's driver's seat, left plastic clip thing is a little raised above the rest of the seat and I chalked it up to a fit/finish issue.

If it's not too inconvenient I'd go lay eyes on it since I'm wondering if some of that distortion is the camera using the wide angle or something like that.

Ahh yes, this is what I was assuming as well. I passed on them and am just going to get Katzkin eventually. I checked the headrest on my seats and there is a whole
Mechanism inside of the seat that can not be easy taken out or replaced.

Very nice. How do you like those cup holders? I have been eyeballing them, tired of pulling the rubber up each time.
