For Those Who have Monitored Trans Temp

    If I get a temp reading around 190 when towing in 65 deg weather, should I expect it be 30 degrees hotter (220) when towing in 95 deg temps? Or is it less linear than that?

    That is ballpark what I have seen before adding my transmission cooler. Ambient temp plays a bigger role than engine temp. Depends on how you are using it and mods done adding weight. If I was 190 at 65 degrees towing it would not surprise me to be peaking 220 at 95 degrees and above. Monitoring my temp and seeing the TC temp hit 220 convinced me a cooler was some safe extra cooling covering these spikes. Rarely go above 190 now.

    I too monitor with Scanguage2. I see temps go up when on uphills. Shifting into S4 immediately drops temps. Hot summer days in Sierras I have seen 205, then dropping below 200 when shifting into 4th.
