    How y'all doing?

Ive had my 99 4runner Sr5 Manual for a few months now (photos coming soon!) Im finally getting around to working on it and changing some of the things the previous owner had done.

I ran into 2 problems and im not sure how to address it..

Problem 1. I was trying to rewire the headlights, when i took off the bolts to the housing, i snapped it. This bolt is either welded or glued into the body. 2 images attached.
Im not sure how to fix this. Even if i cant get the original bolt replaced, im kind of cluesless when it comes to a alternative way to adhere the housing to the body.

Problem 2. My cruise control isnt working. The light comes on when i turn it on, the fuse isnt blown, and brake lights still work. Whenever i click SET, obviously nothing happens.
Im not sure how to further diagnose this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks yall!

    Santiago

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I don't know about prob 1, BUT, as to #2: Hook your toe under the clutch predal, then try to hit set. My truck has that problem. If the clutch pedal doesn't do it, try the brake pedal. Essentially the kick-off switch needs adjustment. I'm just not into working on my truck in the snow, so it'll keep until summer.
BTW: My truck is a 99 SR5 5spd 4Runner., VERY nice! Works good in the snow.

    Good luck!
    Pat☺
