Carven exhaust kit

Anyone has the carven exhaust dump exit kit? On YouTube it sounds pretty good but wanted to know if anyone has one. I was also looking into magnaflow..

 

Keep in mind that anything dumping under the truck will be louder because the sound reflects into the cab. At least the Magnaflow is in the rear.

 

Not on my 4Runner but in all my years around performance automobiles I've yet to see a dump style exhaust like this that is not completely obnoxious in the cab.

 

Is anyone running this exhaust? I smashed my tail pipe today. With the turndown exit/dump pipe right after the muffler does it make the exhaust smell worse then stock.

 

Probably will be a little less when the rear window is all the way down, But this is just a guess based off of how the stock rear exit can venturi effect into the cab.

 

thinking about this exhaust-was wondering if there are any concerns with carbon monoxide build up in the cabin due to the dump being in front of the rear axle

anyone have this style and have had any issues?

 

I'd also check your local vehicle laws. I would imagine an exhaust that has an exit under the vehicle would be illegal in some places.

 

^This is a great point. Carvens resonator produces a deep tone as well. This may be quite a bit louder than stock.

I've been considering this exhaust. Sounds pretty mean on vidoes but its hard to know if it would be too much. I've heard bad things about the magnaflows droning pretty badly. The older forum posts on this website mostly end up with people chopping the stock exhaust. I tried reviving these threads a while back to see how it worked out. But no luck.

Anyone with a chopped stock exhaust, Carven or Magnaflow? I'm tired of crushing my tailpipe but I don't want an annoying exhaust

I have ran the carven for a couple months. It is loud, too loud for my liking. As far as exhaust smells I didn’t notice much of a change.

 

I'm currently running a urd ypipe(removes the 2nd two catalytic converters, and a trd pro exhaust with a turndown off the muffler(no tailpipe) and just passed inspection and emissions.

 

I am quite late to the game as far as replying goes, but I run the Carven exhaust on my 4Runner. Absolutely the most obnoxious thing, especially after getting the OTT "spicy" tune. At 2K-3.5k RPM it is horrendous and almost embarrassing. Cannot wait to get this thing off. Do not buy this.
