Noticed my water temp reads 196-199 on the highway with the Scangauge 3. Never hits 200, but feel it's a bit high. Gauge stays in the middle. Just curious what you guys are running at.

If the gauge isn’t moving then the computer thinks it’s normal. I haven’t paid much attention normally but happened to today - mine said 190 F after a 35 min drive home both in traffic and cruising around 45 mph.

Edit: Idling seems to “chill” at 186 F but driving today seems to keep it in the high-180’s.

That's exactly where it should be running. A cold engine is an inefficient engine.

Most vehicles run 200-210, stat keeps it just under boiling. Reason is for MPG/air fuel burn, emissions and oil viscosity

Most antifreeze (coolant) mixes @ 50/50 ratio won't boil till ~ 225 degrees.

Thank you gentlemen, for the piece of mind. I'm sure the cooling radiator for the Magnuson is adding the extra few degrees. I will go through and check coolant in the morning (why not). Temps here are hovering like a NJ drone, around 40 deg. Very unseasonably warm for Kansas and want to make sure it's GTG prior to our 100deg spring season.

My 2023 Limited stays in the 187- 189F no matter what I do. The idiot gauge stays just below the middle. I think the guage is like that for everyone.

Yes, the supercharger is the reason you are close to 200. No reason for concern. Remember the boiling point of plain water is 212, the coolant is higher and in top of that the pressure of the cooling system rises the boiling point even higher. So you are very far from trouble.
