Cruised across the state smiling cause I was getting 18 MPG the entire way.

 

Agree on exhaust chop. I chopped mine right after it looped over the axle. Does the spare show too much now? Stick it on the roof?

 

Good call, ya man the exhaust is quite vulnerable. Pains me, because I already chopped the pipe once the first time when I installed the MBRP tip. Certainly now is not the time to stop the chopping!

So tonight I’ve bought the hardware and am relocating the reverse light pods up to the crossmember.

As for spare tire, it’s full a full-size LT tire, and ya it shows more than ever. I run an onboard tire pump and an emergency box with flat repair - so sometimes I ditch the spare for aesthetics. If I go wheeling maybe the tire on the roof ya

 

I've mud flap deleted my last two 4runners and I haven't noticed any issues at all with the rear paint.

 

Dito. And my rocker panels look fine after 1-2 years without front mudguards

 

Yeah, should have mentioned no issues with rockers or rear paint. Looks so much better too.

Well… I lived in SanDiego for 37yrs and this is Arctic to me!

It was 61f here yesterday hi of 36f W/wind chill to 21f today.

 

It's funny how much the weather can change like that. I remember a few years ago we were having some particularly shitty weather in Phoenix (at least for us) and there was a large contingent of Bostonians here for something. Probably a bowl game. Anyway, by fluke of nature it was warmer in Boston than in Phoenix that week, like 56 to 42. People were not happy.

Same here, but it was pouring all day yesterday.

 

Yeah it was raining past two days & some down pours yesterday. Water table here is WAY low from the non rain all summer & into fall till this week.

Installed Ark Splash Guards. Pretty good hole alignment but pliable enough for where there wasn't.

 

Is there a hole there otherwise on a stock rig?

I should have taken a before and after. But, it's just slightly better coverage especially at the crest. I saw the gap and was concerned about all the salt spray finding a home in the engine bay. Granted, it will still get up there, just less.
