Will be purchasing a SR5 soon. It currently has 35,000 miles on it and they are asking about 34,500 for it. It does have four-wheel-drive. I’m just trying to get y’all‘s opinion if this is a fair price everything on my end seems like it’s pretty reasonable.

    TIA

Have you committed to that price yet? Are you getting it from a Toyota dealer? If so, is it Toyota certified?

For comparison, I got my 2022 SR5 Premium 4WD, pre-owned, Toyota certified, from our Toyota dealer last year at this time- late November of 2023.

It had 30,5XX miles on it at the time. They were asking $34,900.00 for it at that time. I was able to negotiate with my salesgirl down to $31,500.00 on the vehicle price, BEFORE tax, fees, license, etc. The sales manager came out to congratulate me, and jokingly said I really beat him up. Ha ha. Yeah right.

So here we are, now 2022 models are another year older. See if you can work yourself a deal. Make them an offer, maybe between 29K to 31K. You can always negotiate up on your offer if need be.

Again, my vehicle is the SR5 Premium. Is the one you’re looking at a Premium? If not, I would for sure think they should do better than 34,500.00.

Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Ah, location, yes. I forgot to mention in my reply above- I am in central Texas, in the so-called “Hill Country”, northwest of Austin.

One local guy got his 2022 SR5 in July for $30k with new brake jobs, new tires from 4Wheelonline, and a couple of accessories. It got 52k miles on the clock though but well maintained.

Sounds like a reasonable to solid deal to me.

Assuming not a rental, clean title and is not poorly repaired from a collision. (get it inspected)

a 22 with 35k miles is 99.9% an ex rental, else it means someone spent the money on gas to drive it 90 miles a day commuting for 2 years and decided to get rid of the most reliable vehicle in America before its 3/36 is even up, not very likely.

there is a small chance it could have been a lease, in any case read the car history report carefully and get it checked out fully as mentioned above
