I always say I love women when I drive a Subaru. I think it’s important to fit stereotypes.

I dig the new Camrys. So cheap at 32k and have a better interior than the new 4Runner. Lol

Been considering getting one as a daily driver.

One thing I never understood about Consumer Reports; is their sample size like 1,000 boomers? Who tf is reporting to them or subscribing to their stuff? According to Google, 200-300 per model.

Whether or not you think this survey is legit, it's obvious that Toyota has slipped in recent years. They've clearly decided to do what everyone else is doing; prioritize short term profit and market share over quality engineering. It's sad but it's obviously true.

what is the basis of that? The recent recalls with tnga vehicles, or is there a study you are aware of?

The Tundra has been a quality disaster, the new Tacoma has been riddled with issues, the Grand Highlander has been having front end and weird NVH issues. Add to that things like every Tacoma coming off the line with a loose glove box door. Even my 23 4runner has had more issues than my last two 5th gens combined. Then there is Toyota itself which stated a couple of years ago that they were relaxing their standards on rejecting components going into vehicles. Where there's smoke there's fire and there is too much to ignore.

I don’t question any of those examples. I wonder how do those look like in the context of every new generation that came out. I do not now, but would like to.

I only have anecdotes, albeit a lot of them. I closely followed the launch of the 5th gen 4Runner in 2010 and of the last gen Tundra when new, and there is no comparison at all. The last gen Tacoma wasn't perfect, but again no comparison at least from memory.
