Trying to identify what running boards/bracket these are. https://www.4runners.com/threads/se...m-running-boards-rather-than-replacing.34067/

Can someone please tell me what boards these are. More specifically what bracket. Trying to achieve this with my limited that I did the rocker panel delete to. I still have my boards but struggling with on to mount them. I purchased the current trail edition boards but they are too short and the bracket will not adapt to the old boards. Any help would be much appreciated. So you can see what I'm talking about. Plus the dog crashed when she went to jump in and now is afraid to jump out. They are slippery if you don't step on them right. She did not have any problems with the old ones. TIA!

    jetta23,

Yes, those are the ones I want to remove and replace them with the running boards in the linked thread. I believe those are the Limited/Nightshade running boards. I need a different bracket to mount them but no clue which bracket it is. Trail edition have a different bracket and the limited brackets are too long. I still have my limited running boards and rocker panels.

The trail, SR5, OffRoad, and Pro all have the short rockers
The Limited and Nightshade have the tall rockers
The same running board is used from Toyota on the SR5, OffRoad, Limited, and Nightshade with different length mounting brackets. There are chrome sides, and black sides, and tube steps available from Toyota and tons of other manufacturers. If you specify what model you have, you should get the correct length brackets for whichever step you use. If you notice in the link you provided that maroon 4R appears to have a set of long brackets for a Limited model installed on an SR5 model hence you see how much of a gap from the rocker to the board and since you can see the bracket showing. If you want the bracket to show and board to hang down put your Limited boards back on.
The boards pictured are not the standard Toyota boards, those are either one of the optional units or an aftermarket. There are tons of options and if you want a set mounted higher up to the rocker you need a set with shorter brackets specific to the SR5, trail, Pro, and OffRoad models.

Thank you for the information. I want to mount it up higher hence the rocker panel delete. Just can't seem to figure out which bracket to order. Toyota parts not so clear and you need to contact the dealership which I cannot do. Their website is horrible. When I plug in the information on a SR5 it can't find any fitment and their site just crashed. Keep on finding the parts for the trail edition running boards but those brackets will not bolt to the limited boards.

I did this already. Rocker panel delete per the video. Actually, that's what made me decide to do it. Unfortunately I cannot get the boards that he used. I did get the current model but not loving them. Search continues for a bracket to mount the nightshade running boards so they don't hit the ground.

In watching videos of converting from the Limited to non-Limited rocker panels, it appears to me that the Limited rocker panel itself mounts to where the non-Limited running boards mount. Is that not the case? And if it is, where do the Limited running boards mount?

Do you have a photo of your Limited before the rocker panel delete, and with the Limited running boards?

As you can see in the attached photos the bolt centers are different. T-Slots on the limited boards are 3" on center. T-Slots on the trail edition boards is 2-1/4" so I cannot mix and match the brackets. Need to find a bracket that will accommodate 3" on center bolts and not hang down to the ground. Sadly Toyota does not give this information.

Boards from that video are the trail edition so 2-1/4" on center.

Unless you can re-drill the step portion of the brackets with the 2 1/4" centered holes, I don't have a solution. I did see brackets sold separately on the Toyota site, but how to match them up to the running boards from your Limited to use on a non-Limited is a mystery.

If you remove the running boards that you don't like from the bracket, can you lay the ones you do like on the bracket in order to match up one of the mounting holes, and see if there's enough room to drill a new hole for the other mounting bolt?
