Yeah I get it. All comments made are very good. I just keep maintaining at maximum intervals using top tier fuel and taking it out on the interstate to get up to speed. I didn’t have a lot of money growing up so it was me keeping my cars well maintained. It’s just ingrained now (71). I’m in the hot Deep South. Heat is my biggest enemy during late spring and through early fall.
    Thanks for all the input.

I've noticed the same smell on my dipstick -- I'm thinking it's because I commute 25 minutes through crosstown traffic averaging 45 mph with occasional stoplights (if I'm lucky) and a once weekly 45 minute trip there and back. I run a dashboard with the Short/Long FT, not sure if I know how to read it but the Short is around -2.3 - -3.5 and the Long pegs at 7.0 - 7.8 during acceleration and stays between 5.5 - 7.0 during level cruise which is above the 5% that indicates a rich mix -- I don't know if I'm OCD'ing on something that is normal or if I need to do something about my injectors -- my runner's operation is smooth, maybe a little loss in mpg though
