Hi there i had a trd intake installed awhile back and after going to a few shops for various work ive noticed a rattle only at WOT on the passenger side, It almost sounds like metal. So ive started digging and found a photo with a silver bracket that seems to hold some type of wire mount. I removed it as mine was already flopping around and right behind the intake box. I had a feeling it might resonate to the cab? Im unsure at this point but trying to attempt all ideas to get rid of the sound. The second photo i found is someone with an older 4runner doing the install with what looks like a completely different mount and setup. But it looks like they are early 2018-2020 4runners? Im not 100% positive. But if anyone has had this issue and resolved it would love the advice.

I know they arent the greatest photos as i screenshotted a section on youtube videos. But, like i said it bothers me i have this sound at 4k miles. My theory is to try it again doing a few of these methods and then just installing the stock intake and cut my losses. The dealer did have to remove my motor one time for a timing cover replacement, but i cant recall if the sound came from there. A shop thought it was coming from inside the dash with loose clips which i will check after i attempt this.

    Thanks

Those pieces should be tight to the fender, if so, they will not make any noise.

If they had to remove your engine there's no telling what could have been left loose upon installation...

This is the dealer's problem, and a warranty one at that.
Somebody left something loose. Backtrack to all of the work that was done.
