Seeing a lot of ‘23’s with the “LED interior bulb upgrade” as an option. Anybody have this or know the part #’s?
Be interested to see how bright it is vs aftermarket.

Are you looking for something like this?
    https://youtu.be/-8_pxQyHKY4

This is from my 202. I have included the links in the description of the bulbs I purchased.
Two 31mm smd bulbs for the cargo area
One 29mm smd bulb for the hood light
194 bulbs for map lights, doors, etc..

Edit - Sorry, looks like you are looking for OEM. Please ignore my post.

    Oh you poor soul.

It's 2022 and you still haven't done a LED upgrade on any of your vehicles in the past 10 years?

This is the first vehicle I’ve had that didn’t come with LED from the factory. My prior vehicles were a tesla and a BMW

You have gone back two decades of technology for a T4R.
    Curious though.
I got T4R because it holds value.

I would not mess with it as I saw a post where someone fried their BCU with aftermarket interior LED.

Does that also go for the diode dynamics LED interior lights?

I replaced all of our bulbs with Dynamic Diode LED bulbs and I'm happy I did (all interior, puddle lights, and license plate lights). The only bulb I didn't mess with is the glove box bulb.... Just recently ordered the reverse lights from Dynamic Diode as well; I hear there are compatibility issues with some TRD PRO and ORP, but I am willing to test to see for myself.

Our 2024 had less than 200 miles on it when I replaced all of the bulbs. Looks much better than the stock bulbs and more modern!

Pricey, but supposed to be higher quality than the cheap Ebay/Amazon kits.

This past Black Friday, I ordered 15 bulbs from Dynamic Diode to do all of the ones in wife's Lexus.

When normal incandescent lights fail, it becomes an open circuit. But some LEDs seem to have possible failure modes where they short circuit. The interior lights on 4runner are on circuits that are not protected by fuses, so a short circuit will damage body control modules.

Basically, an LED light on these circuits introduces the potential for expensive failures. It’s hard to say if any particular brand is more risky unless you understood how they are electronically designed, and you could determine if they could internally fail as a short circuit.
