What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Used it to go cut down a Christmas tree.

Finished the wiring for the winch and auxiliary lighting and re-installed the recovery gear in preparation for some snow fun tomorrow!

I’ve stuck it out with dreadful factory headlight bulbs, 9 years and counting though not one bulb out

 

I have had Alpharex lights in storage for a year because I have been too lazy to swap them but I think I will during this 4 day weekend.

 

So no bank will call when your 4Runner shows up at SEMA 2025?

 

Added 4 TuRD logos to the 4Runner with FJ center caps, P/N PT904-35070-CC. Despite posts such as this one and that one saying they fit without modification, in my case a lot of cutting was needed to fit, by about 3/8" around the entire perimeter. Maybe there was a design change in the caps. If I had known they were this much work, I would've never ordered them from my dealer

 

Paid off Toyota Financial out of spite. Don't want to give them any more interest $$$. What a miserable experience it has been dealing with them.

 

You forgot to turn on the high beams, fog lamps, and bumper light bar...

 

This is my first 4Runner…happy to be back in a Toyota. I installed some Pirelli ATR Plus 265/70r17 121S Load E and so far love them. Other mods so far are floor liners and waiting on the rear mud flap delete from TufSkinz.

 

In my case, one did.

 

Let us know how those tires work out in the wet and off road, I've been eyeing those myself as I'm planning on switching to Load E anyway. Thanks.

What does the Anti-seize have to do with the life of the spark plugs?

 

I was simply implying that anti seize seems to get where you least expect it. It spreads like a virus

 

Like "Pro-Seal" for me PR1492 & other variants. That would always end up on my clothes no matter how hard I tried to sty away!

 

Did like yesterday, looked at it in garage when turning on the window candles for my wife. Working from home does have it's advantages. 5636 mile since new 22-Nov-2023 YES!!! Almost time for new one ,eh?!?!Not sure who's driving tomorrow to nieces for thanksgiving dinner, me or the wife. Weather depending will drive to go shoot up Pumpkins/Gourds Sat or Sun @ buddies property, little hill climb to field & down into hollow.

looks a bit weird to me. Too high? Tires too small? Springs not settled yet?

 

I put new shoes on her. The mall crawlers are in the dump. Just a little more aggressive and hopefully maintain my current mileage.

 

Springs will probably settle a little bit, but it looks good to me.

 

Just hit a small doe about a 100’ from turning into my driveway at about 20 mph. Hit her square in the middle of the plate bumper and pushed her into the ditch. She took off and only left me with a bunch if hair on the shackles. No damage!

 

What did she do to you that warranted being hit with a truck?

 

didnt yield to cross traffic. Haha

 

It is physically impossible to not get pro-seal on your clothes. Anyone within 10 ft of it being applied will end up with some on them. Ask me how I know!
