Ok I purchased a never installed Start-x for my key start 2019 4Runner. Install was a piece of cake and works well. I recently just purchased a Car-link ASCL6, to add onto my start-x. I know I connect the main harness to the Link and then the blue to the start-x unit. Has anyone done this install? I tried to talk to start-x and since I bought the unit used, box was never opened guy sold the 4runner before he could install, start-x doesn't want to deal with me.
Any advise on adding this to the start-x unit is greatly appreciated.

Just did this exact add-on to my 23 trd orp. The install is very straight forward, plug in harness to the RF link on the startX harness and the other end to the car link module. No power, ground or signal need to be hooked up on the car link harness. Just plug it in and download the CL6 app, use FORTIN protocol on setup. Once in test mode and everything works, “release the vehicle in the app” then re-add it back and you’re done. Download the install manual for car link and use fortin evo-all as the install guide on Page 46.

OP stated that it's a key start. I just installed the Start-X for my gf's 2016, keyed (few days before Xmas, it was her gift). The keyed and push button starts use different configurations.
I talked with Start-X about this. For the keyed application, the 2x main harnesses are used but there is nothing that gets plugged into that harness (ie, none of the adapters which I show below crossed out in the image.

The Car-Link hardware (CL6) is plugged DIRECTLY into the grey port on the remote start module.

The rest you mentioned is correct, no fused power, ground, etc, those wires just dangle, tuck them somewhere out of the way.. I even took a picture of the setup when talking with Start-X to verify that it was correct:

    Here is their schematic:

This can also be found on page 30/72 on this pdf (Compustar DC3 is the same unit as the Start-X):
    https://sc.voxxintl.com/docs/common/ASCL6/ASCL6_IM.pdf

Left side is the main harness plugged into the Start-X unit, which the OP has already done. Right side, the CL6 gets plugged into the grey telemetrics port directly, on the Start-X unit. FWIW, I was directed to use the ADS protocol on the app for her keyed 4Runner. So there are differences between the 2.

Ive had mine installed for about 2 months, and just noticed that I am unable to unlock my 23 ORP via the carlink app. Not sure if its always been that way or if its a recent problem. Everything else works as it should, but then I go to unlock the doors the app shows unlocked but nothing physically unlocks. Is yours the same?

I'm trying to install this as well and can see voltage location and door status but no action. I did try the ads protocal and hooked up voltage to the CL module like instructed but that caused all kinds of issues. My next step is buying the web link cable for the Compustar unless anybody has any other ideas. Sorry I can't help vlanchet.
