May seem like a silly question, but I was adjusting my dash cam and not paying attention to how many times I turned it. Well it rolled from my fingers, hit the dash and waved at me as it rolled down and disappeared into my windshield vents. I used my phone camera with flash to see if I could see it to no avail. Looked under the suv and nothing either.
So I drove home after 10 minutes of trying to figure out where it could possibly go. I did open my GB and take the air vent out hoping it would be ready and happy to see me. But no, Can anyone tell me if it there is a way it could still be in there? And if so where it could be.

    Please and thank you !

I think you're talking about some sort of mounting nut or screw? I hope you didn't lose the whole camera. If it's steel, you could get a small wand magnet and carefully fish around where you saw it last. If it's plastic, do something similar with double-sided tape on a wand/stick. Just be careful not to add to your problem by dropping those lol. And if unsuccessful, wave goodbye and get a suitable replacement.

It will end up in the heater box. If your lucky it wont block any doors causing door travel issues or breakage. Hate it when that happens.

Interesting answers, heater box sounds likely.

Drive on some bumpy roads first to make sure it gets down there.

Yes it was a small mounting screw, believe it was a hard plastic. Didn’t feel like metal. I can just find something to replace it if needed, was more concerned with it blocking or damaging something down the tubes/hole ‍♀️

Note to self: you've been warned - put a towel on the dash when attempting a project like this.

    Thanks!
