    Hi,

I’m considering getting Method MR306 Mesh wheels on my 2018 Limited. I have already put 275/55R20 Cooper Discoverer A/T3’s on the stock wheels. The wheels I’m looking at are 20x9, Backspace: 5.75”, Offset: 18mm. I am lifted 2.5/1.5” with SPC UCA’s. With these specs, would anyone be concerned with rubbing on the UCA’s or other suspension parts? I’m not concerned about rubbing on the fender liner or anything. I would like the tires to sit flush with the fender. Please let me know your thoughts before I make a decision!
    Thanks!!!

A member, Backslider, I believe, has a dope offset, creeping the tire out of the fender perfectly imho. Hit him up, or find his rig build log, and see what he runs. His shit looks rad, and functions perfectly. Best of both worlds imho.

Thanks for the responses! I went ahead and ordered the Method Wheels with 275/60R20 Cooper Discoverer AT3’s. It looked like a lot of people have run Method wheels with the same backspacing and offset. They should be here in about 2 weeks. I’ll let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks!

I've been looking at 18x9, 18x9.5 and 20x10 for various brands. The website willtheyfit.com is awesome for testing out comparisons between stock and options you have for aftermarket. The offsets I've been looking at range between 0 and -12. I don't want them getting any closer to the suspension if I can help it. The current wheel/tire set I'm looking at is 315/60R18 on a 18x9 wheel with an offset of 0. It is 4.1mm closer to the suspension which I can live with but sticks out 34.1 mm farther. Basically going to a 12.4" wide tire at just under 33". Also try tiresize.com, it will again show the comparisons between stock and aftermarket with a visual picture of the wheel/tire profiles next to eachother to see the difference.

Here's mine with 285/65/18 BFG KO2's and 18x9 Fuel Beast wheels with I believe a 0 offset... I love the stance.

As u can see in the picture i installed my toytech lift and went with the 20x9 Ion wheels wrapped with 275-60-20 , and i also went ahead and installed the uca
It turned out just like i wanted. My wife loves it which is a good thing since it is her daily driver.

That looks great!! Do you know the offset of your wheels? Did you run into any rubbing issues? I added SPC UCA’s when I installed the Daystar 2,5”/1.5” lift. I wanted my alignment to be perfect, which it seems to be.
My wheels and tires should be in next week. I can’t wait to get them on and see how it turns out.

Did you have any needle bearing/front diff issues after lifting?

I haven’t had any issues with that on my current 4Runner or on my old 2010 with a 3” Toytec lift. I was running 285/70/17 BFG A/T’s on it. It sounds like it’s a fairly cheap and easy fix. If I have issues with my 2018 Limited, I’ll probably just replace the bearing with the aftermarket one that’s supposed to be better on my own. By the way, I really like the stance your 4Runner has. It looks good!!

My wheel offset is 0, in reverse full lock it rubs just a little on the back of the right fender well. But can easily be remedied

I’ve wondered if I should have found a wheel with a zero offset, but figured I have seen a lot of 4Runner with the same Method Wheels so I should be good. I’m thinking I may gain an a little over an inch towards the suspension and just under an inch towards the fender.

JERSEYDEVIL 5 The 0 offset with the 275-60-20 puts the tire about even with the fender which is good for me cause my runner is black which shows every little scratch.

I also went with a 20" wheel instead of a 18 because about every new truck on the road comes with 20's . That being said 20 in tires should be alot more plentiful if u wanted to save some money and by take-offs or used tires in the future. Just saying

I like the look of the 20’s, so I wanted to keep that size just go wider. I was hoping my tires would sit flush with the fender, too. I keep my 4Runner really clean, so I totally get what your saying about scratches. I’m replacing the 275/55R20’s Cooper Discoverer AT3’s that I’ve had for 2 months and have 1k on them for the 275/60R20 Cooper Discoverer AT3’s. I want to fill up the wheel well as much as I can. So, if anyone knows of anyone looking for a set of 275/55R20 Cooper Discoverer AT3’s with 1k on them, let me know!
