I was looking to almost purchase the VLED footwell lights and then noticed the "Not compatible with MTM enabled models" and I of course have one.

Lots of cheap china made ones on Amazon--but does anyone have a really good recommendation that can act like a bright light when you open the door and when headlights are on a softer light or the cabin?

those are some posts that show some of his stuff

essentially you’d have to just buy the factory OEM bulbs…think you can choose from white, blue, red, or yellow/amber(low light)
    They’re like $8 I think

I have the entire write up PDF n his instructions are super simple

he’s also great at answering questions if you need help

I’d like to say, send him a private msg
Let him know your interested in the footwell light(which is sold out as far as I can tell)
N that your buying it from another member

In reading it all, it seems fairly clear his setup won't work on the newer models with MTM enabled....I sped read it all but I didn't see anything countering that.

Again mine is 2024 TRD Pro.

VLED mentioned more or less the same problem he did - the setup on those models / features is different.

Seems I have been roped into a conversation here...

Just to be clear here (because I dislike abbreviations), we are talking about the multi-terrain/panoramic view monitor system, not multi-terrain select (MTM/PVMS not MTS).

@TakeYourLemons, I fail to see why the VLEDs setup is not compatible with your 2024, or any 22MY+ with the MTM/PVM camera system. Their own review section has a 24 Limited guy in it saying they worked fine (and the 22MY+ limiteds come standard with PVMS). The way they interface with the vehicle is nowhere near where any of the MTM/PVMS wiring is. If you are considering the VLEDs, I don't think you will have any issue.

For clarity sake, my stuff is a bit different, but it doesn't have any issues working with MTM/PVMS equipped vehicles either. It works from 2010-24MY irrespective of trim or equipment.

I read on another post where the plug is a little different with the mtm and the vled's wouldn't work, I am also interested. I have a 2023 Pro.

Can you please point to that post, I'm genuinely curious.

The VLEDs connect in the A-pillar, and depending on if it is a 2010-19 or a 2020-24 it uses a different connector. In regards to the 20-24MY, that connector and wiring has been static without changes the entire run. The only areas where I would be concerned about running into MTM circuitry is if you were connecting to the kick panel or tailgate regions, which VLEDs does not.

I hear there is no such thing as a stupid question but what is MTM? How do I know if I have it?
