I'd like to install Kicker 6.5 47ksc6504 in the rear doors of my 5th gen. Will the Metra 82-8148 mounting bracket work. Crutchfield says it will not work and offer no adaptor solutions for a 6.5 speaker. Will the Scosche SAT6 work or can I make the Metra work by cutting off tabs.

Any other solution with a 6.5" rear door solution would be most welcome.

    Thank you for the response,

I bought the 47KSC 6x9 for the front door from Crutchfield and they sent Metra brackets/adapters for free. I did see with the Kicker brackets there was a line on the back that if cut it would have worked. But since they sent the Metra I used them.

I'll order the 47KSC6504 6.5" for the rear doors and hope for the best. I appreciate your help.

yup, so when you buy the rears. the bracket will have extra mounting tabs. just line them up first than you can just snap the ones not used off.

Hey! Just discovered this thread and was wondering how your Kicker rear door install came out. Did you have to do anything special to accommodate the depth of the speaker?

me too, just bought a pair of Infinity refer for the front and the kicker ks for the rear. My experience with Kicker is there's always a good amount of punch. Hope for the best!
