Car got hit by a School bus while parked. Just cracked 200k miles. Do you think it’s totaled?

Depends on repair bill vs actual value.

Yes, not a lot of damage, but a lot of panels, plus paint. It's a 2007, so 18 years old, and half of the vehicle has repair time. It's an economical total, has a value of $8k, salvage value of $1.5k - $2k. I'd buy it back though, take the $6.5k buy a new front bumper and winch and make it an offroad overland-specific vehicle.

Fix it..especially if it's 4wd... go to car-part.com for used parts .. might get lucky and find parts color matched.

Does it have any pending big-ticket mechanical issues (like V8 exhaust manifold cracks or frame rust cancer) that you can avoid if totalled?

Welcome from Wisconsin! Nope, not totaled. I had a pristine S-10 parked, got side-swiped as bad as that, actual value of vehicle? Young driver's insurance paid to get it fixed. School bus drivers where I live, well I mean "a group" of them beat the piss out of those buses, so let the buses insurance pick up the tab.
