Any pics of C4 Lo pro with winch mounted...

Looking for pics of the lo pro with a winch installed, from overhead... Without the radiator cover. Looking to get an idea of how/where i would need to rework an inter coo!er.

 

Hey dude. So also keep in mind you need to change your power steering cooling line which is the first pic here if you have not looked into that.

Let me know if these pics help. It's what I have on my phone. My wife has the 4runner right now but I can remove the top plastic later and take a lot of pics for you.

2nd to last pic - you gotta bend that AC condenser line but not as much mine.

On the last pic, there's a thin metal bracket right above that cooler I added which needed to be cut as you can see, to fit the winch.

Is that a power steering cooler? Haven't seen anyone running one?

 

Yes it is to relocate it. Lot of people have them. I found out it existed because I was searching forums after my power steering line got in the way while trying to install this winch.

I think I found the aftermarket cooler idea on the T4R forums

 

I like the idea for some extra help with rack. Any way to measure temp? So far I am just being aggressive drain/fill with quality synthetic ATF.

I had problems with my transmission cooler needing to relocate with c4 and winch.

 

Measure temperature while you do the drain and fill? I just used a temp gun @ 104 in the middle of the pan.

 

Are you talking transmission? I am taking power steering.

I can monitor ATF temps real time.

 

Man, that jig you have for moving the bumper into place is great.....good idea!

 

oh - no never worried about power steering. That cooler is going to be way better than the line. Never checked. Not concerned.

Thanks I thought it was a PS cooler but no reason can't be used for transmission too.

 

That's all standard stuff, the Maggie has the inter cooler lines that will need to be moved above the winch along with relocating the pump. The pics put things into perspective a bit more, thank you. The pump is the major issue as it sits bottom right of the lower support, where your water filter thingy is (joking).

 

If this is helpful. Hard to get a good shot from above with everything around it.

Don't get the platinum which is the blue tooth remote. Get one you can plug a blue tooth dongle and use your phone as a controller. Warn remotes eat batteries like candy. I installed a switch in my remote to help this.
