    That video answers the question for me. It's not a matter of the contact patch of the tire to the highest point, adjusted for wheel base. If that were the case my lifted 4runner would have a better breakover. But rather the lower-inner wall of the tire. His 35s make a big difference here.

    By the way the 3rd gen Tacoma TRD Pro has a published breakover angle of 26.6 deg ;) Having a fuel tank tucked flush with the frame helps a lot.

    (Calculating just over 5" of clearance plus just under 74" wheelbase spits out ~16 degrees.)
