Anyone have their crossbars that mount on the stock 5gen roof rails ?
If you have them do you feel that the one end that is slotted for the mounting bolts is secure enough for handling a load at highway speeds ?
Seems to me that it could lift off at that mounting point when you have wind pressure pulling on it . The other end is through bolted to the rail .
    Thanks in advance.

Have you considered LFD crossbars? A lot of owners on here run those. They might give a bit more room underneath than the Victory crossbars.

I have but they stick up higher which I don’t really like . Plus they’re 1” skinnier than the Victory.
These bars will be mostly for Home Depot runs .

I have them and they seem secure enough if properly tightened. However it's just my opinion and I can't offer anything quantitative. So far the only thing I've hauled was a relatively heavy Persian rug rolled up on a 1x6. Not the most aerodynamic thing in the world but also not a cargo box so... In my case it remained rock solid at highway speed for 5 hours. Twice.

I also gave strong consideration to the LFD rails but I had a question and they have no phone number posted anywhere on their site or their Google listing so I moved on to the Victory product and have no regrets.

Keep in mind that any of these crossbars do not change the 135# Toyota rating for the roof rack while moving.

Late on seeing this comment. I think they will be more than adequate for that purpose.

Here you go. Truck is dirty. Just the way it is...
They are very close to the roof which I like in general.
What I don't like is how hard that makes attaching the tie down points.
I also got the tie downs from Victory and I'm less enthused with those. They have an allen head bolt and it's very clumsy to hold the wrench in place and twist down the hoop at the same time. Additionally, I had to get larger fender washers as the ones that came with the bolts were only a hair larger than the slots in the crossbars and pulled through if you didn't get it juuusst right.

They are very quiet despite no fairing. I don't even think about them being up there. Your post also made think about how secure they are and I checked while grabbing the pics and they are just as tight as ever.
