Pretty straightforward, on-on have 3 terminals so you wire top or bottom terminal with the middle pin of the next.

Is there an OEM glass break sensor that can be added?
I know Tacomas have a dealer option for the "Vehicle Intrusion Protection (VIP) alarm system" which I believe is just a glass break sensor that sets off the car alarm. PN: pt39835160.

Is there an option like this for our 4Runners?

YOU CAN DO IT! The skills required to add a kill switch are pretty basic and easily acquired. I acquired them from a set of short books I bought from Radio Shack in the 1980’s. Look for a pdf of “Getting Started In Electronics” by Forrest Mims. His books are hand written on notebook paper, and very easy to follow.

Here are a couple of pages:

My house was burglarized when a thief broke a kitchen window and let himself in.

It happens more often than you think. IMO kicking a door in would be louder and attract more attention than breaking a window.

Good lord people, my comment was about taking steps to mitigate loss. Never once stated there was a way to eliminate it.

Did you wire it to the Starter relay or the fuel pump relay? I am having the exact same problem. I used the starter relay. Did you find a solution or just rip it out?

    Mall crawling kit.
Instead of an ignition kill switch, I had Ravelco installed on my 4Runner. It has coded plug that serves as a circuit interrupter.

To the starter relay as per instruction. Been busy with more important stuff did not screw with it. I Will try to get my hands on a wiring diagram to understand the why it is not working properly. I do suspect that Little black box with 3 wires connected together to the ground of i recall not proper design for our 4, is my guess IMO. Poor setup/design not tested from those idots that never got back to me after about 10 emails!

    I have one as well.

Yes, like most anything else, it can be defeated with the right equipment and knowledge but a thief has to know it is there, where it is and have that equipment and knowledge.

It adds another layer of prevention that I think is worth it as I don’t have a garage.

Thefts of late in Southern California have become more sophisticated and professional. OBD port locks and covering your VIN # help. The MO now for the Mexican and Central/South American theft rings is to program factory keys using a key programmer connected to the OBD. Theft rings are going out ahead of time, collecting VIN numbers of targeted vehicles, ordering keys through Mexican dealerships and then coming back with them. Once inside, it takes minutes to code a new factory key and simply drive away. Seen it a lot here in San Diego. Matter of fact, we've had 15 Jeeps stolen in my area in the last week or so this way.
