I have a 90 4x4 4runner. I looked at the FSM and it says this relay is near the ignition switch. I have also read that it is on the passenger side kick panel. Can anyone confirm the exact location of this relay? If so can you provide a picture of it and or a quick run down of what I have to remove to get access to it? Trying to figure out why my 4WD light is not coming on. Vehicle seems to engage and go into 4WD just wanting to troubleshoot all angles. Vacuum lines are good just replaced those. Want to test relay before possibly having to replace the switch on the transfer case. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello. I wanted to reach out and see if you found out what was wrong. I'm experiencing the same problem with my 4runner. Any help is appreciated.

So realistically it’s likely the LED bulbs in the dash cluster. Everything functions properly haven’t tore the dash apart again yet. Also I’ve learned if you have a manual 4x4 the clutch override switch is the ancient version of crawl control to get out of a sticky situation.
