I like it, but man, that is one expensive piece of mesh! What is your opinion of it?

I wanted one too but I have the windows down a lot in the 4runner and figured I'd just get one for the taco. I never did though

How is it with the windows down? Looks good

Yeah it was spendy but cheaper then the Raingler version at least. I like it as it keeps jackets out of the way and I can toss the dogs towel up there too. Great for road trips where I try to maximize my space.

I wouldn't overload it as that will obstruct your view out the back window and anything heavy would become a projectile in an accident.

Honestly haven't tried it with the windows down yet, too cold now haha!

185k oil change, swapped in the metal oil filter housing, and giving the valvomax drain plug a try. Keeping the oem parts as backup in case the others don’t make the cut.

Added side visors. Blocks the sun from the sides. Should have done this a while ago.

Yes, it is a pain in the ass to unclip and swing it over (to lazy). This way, I can just flip it down when needed.

If I could, I would like to be able to tint. Would have saved me $$$. Don't want to take any chances.

I hear ya. I had a 90 Notchback and got pulled over 2xs for 20% tint on front driver/passenger in my township, but both of my 4runners with the same tint gets ignored. Go figure…

She's running! Got to give it to Magnuson, their kit is built for DYI. 67 step by step pictures for the tune and 290 for the hardware. Everything is in two boxes, all you need is tools. Need to throw some props out to "Jailbreak overland" for his step by step walkthrough vids on tubeyou.

$110 chineseium knockoff front skid came in from Texas, Caramore P/N LSOT00466: https://www.ebay.com/itm/143972661154 One corner poked through the carton during shipping and worn away the powder coat:

    AP1GczNhYomL8Fw7fXnFhOlkvrEunoMVPT5gBGi7_d7d89d4f6eda5da13663b8f90b8a9f698f1a3c07.jpg AP1GczP7VBxJJff4si3S5zwwn-Z5eMliIVjef9JS_e41a25c13bbd89e5d27347240065ae43c0c02ce2.jpg

The skid included 4 long bolts, which fit fine in the front with the included spacers, but were too long in the rear locations, so I just used the OEM bolts there. Also installed the Tacoma engine skid I previously trimmed and painted:

    AP1GczMOWqr2fKMB0Wo_Dn_p4sELCMDal1MwjKwG_4f378f8b736d963f6788136a4a5dd9f4a218026b.jpg

Disclaimer for newbies: I don't recommend aluminum skid plates for off-road use. My 4Runner is a pavement pounder that may see deep snow and the occasional road debris (wood pallet, Hino truck grille, tire carcass, paving stone...). Don't follow my example if you're building a trail rig.
