    Hi folks,

Back when shopping just over a year ago, I test drove either a '22 or '23, SR5 or OR trim 4Runner and noticed that the physical AUDIO and MAP buttons both opened the Music and Maps app in CarPlay while CarPlay was active.

Can't remember what HOME and MENU did at the time.

My '21 does not do this (noticed during test drive but not a big deal especially with the soft buttons right there on the left edge of the screen) but instead defaults to the nav and audio playback screens built-into the headunit regardless of whether CarPlay is hooked up. (haven't tried Android Auto)

I didn't see any settings I could flip but was wondering when that behavior showed up or if there is a toggle.

My headunit is up-to-date as of earlier this summer.

Anyone's headunit do that and what year/trim? Did I hallucinate it instead?

Nice, 999 messages! My '23 ORP does not do that. Yes, must have been the last of your windowpane.
