That's an incredible aviation variety. How awesome! I can see why you have no regrets about your career choices.

 

Is there an off topic aviation thread here? I love hearing about aviation stuff like this…whether it be from the cockpit, or from the hangar.

Have you heard the one about the sanitary worker that was in charge of cleaning out honey buckets on airliners? He got layed off. When they broke the news to him, he cried out “But, aviation is in my blood!!!”

 

I'm not aware of one, but that would be a fun idea. I know we have quite a few plane fanatics here, and even a pilot or two if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, duh!

The 407 helicopters we used to have, we had a "Classic" 407 and a 407GX. The GX had the Garmin G1000 avionics in it.

 

I’ve been working Globals for last 24 years, Classic 2000 briefly, and 525C for several years until recently

 

Was overloaded working maintaining GX and Falcon at same time, we traded the Falcon for a @ 525C and that was better.Now just the Global and I can breath.

 

One man show, except larger inspections

 

I love the Falcon 2000LX. More powerful engines, more fuel and Honeywell avionics. Previously I worked Airbus A320s and Boeing 777s (the originals) and so it was not a difficult transition to the Honeywell Epic system. It records everything so there is much less guesswork in a fault and troubleshooting.
