I used to be amused by his videos but the guy is an absolute clown and has mental issues.

I’ve seen some of his vids because I am into Toyota trucks. Seems like a nice guy but I can’t relate whatsoever to the change cars out like socks thing. I prefer the fun of saving up for something special, taking care of it, and keeping it as long as possible.

For older platform Toyotas, their simplicity and reliability that allow you to do that are the biggest appeal…..otherwise might as well swap out any luxury disposable appliance car every so often.

Probably a youtube views reason for him but overall not my thing.

the guy touts how he gets these cars because they’re the last of the new reliable cars which is true but he never keeps one for more than six months. He needs to see a therapist seems like he is searching for satisfaction or meaning and hoping to find them from buying a car but he doesn’t find that satisfaction so he repeats it endlessly

Perhaps “eccentric” would define him? No need to demean him over this I suppose.

It's a reflection of the viewers' wandering taste, he is there to generate traffic and does what gets the views. It was telling that a few months ago while the 5th gen were still arriving all the major YT channels were running "here is why the 5th gen 4runner is the last vehicle you should buy". In 3 months when the 6th comes out with the exception of maybe Scotty and CarCareNut every content generator is going to be fawning over the 6th gen.

YT algorithm is brutal and some guy that talks about his 2 year old 4Runner is not going to get new subscribers and views.

no this idiot has bought and sold like 6 different 5th gens swearing each time it will be his forever car obviously he can take the financial hit with the YouTube revenue but without it he would have lost tens of thousands of dollars (technically he did)

he has some weird impulse control issues. That other clown trd John is more the buy cars for his channel type this dude just has problems

    ATTENTION:
“Most YouTube creators produce well-researched and intelligent content on Toyota vehicles!”

See above, now that’s clickbait. Actually, most YouTube automotive content creators are dopes who think a rear locker is where they store their clothes while working out at the gym…and somehow, they still get invited to Toyota events.
