New owner of 2012 4RUNNER with 110,000 miles. After driving for 15-20 minutes (speed doesn't seem to matter) I can hear a rhythmic clicking sound from the driver's side rear. Checked the chain holding the spare tire, tie wrapped it so no dangling. Took to my local mechanic who didn't hear the sound after driving it around the block. He may be slightly deaf because he couldn't hear me well. No irregular tire wear nor a leak. It's getting louder, not a grinding or squeaking sound just a louder click. No leaks whatsoever in undercarriage or on the ground.
I am so frustrated . Any ideas?

If you are stopped can you hear it if you change the RPM's (rev it)?

A twig trapped in the rotor assembly?

Is it speed dependent? Worse on turning left or right? Drive it until it's clicking, then pull in, jack up the rear and spin the rear tires. Might be able to pinpoint it.
