Stock didn’t last long for me. I added the 6112/5160 setup, removed the steps, and upgraded the tires. I think I’ll grab some RCI sliders this week and call it good for a while.

I remember someone here saying they only used 1 can of Waxoyl, but for this job, I ended up needing nearly all 3. I used the 360 nozzle to fill the frame through the holes, making sure it got a thorough coating from every angle. I removed the skid plate and the spare tire of course.
I picked up a disposable coveralls at Lowe’s and a plastic eye pro. The whole process was about 1.5 hours. One more observation: this is not dripping like the fluid film. The photos speak for themselves. There is zero stain on the ground and not because I’m a pro.

walked down the road found my 4R appears to have its fog light pushed inward and broke some tabs. That’s what I get for parking it outside in favour of the wife’s jeep.
no actually, it coulda been from the stick a car spit out at me driving during storm.

short of searching YouTube, anyone know what to do?
been trying to pop er in without busting more, no luck…the ugly viper cut helps

So after two hurricanes I finally got to do some something fun with my truck today. If you have a Victory side molle panel you need to talk with @Photon_Chaser as he is a master engineer and awesome with a 3D printer. I had reached out to Victory about making a a different bracket for me so that I could utilized my cargo cover and they said NO. So @Photon_Chaser was able to hook me up with one of his homemade brackets to make this work for me (any questions on this please contact him directly). I also like saving all of the bags that tools come in, so this one shown has mostly my tire kit in it (hose, gauge, plug kit, adapters) The thing with the yellow is one of those batter jump starters. Its a work in progress and I will see how I like how I mounted everything after awhile. Also awhile back I had asked if anyone had figured out a way to mount ALICE clips to a molle panel. In looking at all my stuff I came across this green adapter that I already had and forgot about. The NSN number shown in case you want to find one yourself.

If you Sawzall 3 panel columns, you can fit your hand behind it for a bit of storage.

Wow. I like that a lot.
I've considered the side molle panel, but all I had seen so far precluded use of the cargo cover. This is encouraging!
    Thank you for posting it.

If you could replace the tabs, would that solve your problem?
If so, if you have access to where the tabs would attach, use super glue and baking soda to re-attach the tabs. The glue and baking soda will cure hard as rocks and will probably be stronger than before. Has worked for me in similar situations.

Changed the oil this weekend. WM didnt have the usual Supertech synthetic Ive been using, so went with Pennzoil Platinum instead.

Finished the Cosmoline 342 Black treatment. Note-I live in a low to moderate road salt area in the PNW. Nothing like back east where frames are totaled after a few years. That is the reason for not 100% coverage. I will re-evaluate the uncoated panels next year and see how they look. Also, anything going to be replaced soon was not coated-UCAs. A few tips-Get a full tyvek suit, actually get a couple. Any clothes that are sprayed will be ruined. Goggles, and a real respirator mask or exhaust fan. I only used a N95 and had a decent cross wind coming through my garage but after each session I had a headache. Use cheap painters tarps on the ground and 3-5' past the vehicle in each direction at a minimum. The smell is not bad-smells like coconut oil. The finished surface feels like a candle-somewhat waxy, but dry to the touch.

I've used a cheap wood burning tool and black zip ties to plastic weld. Works pretty well. Afterward I'll reinforce the tabs with super glue or JB weld.

Are you talking about the mud flap? That’s all I see, although it does rub a little so need to do some minor cutting soon.

Finally had the Ruff Rug liner cut by an upholstery shop to fit around my Victory 4x4 drawers:

    IMG_1175.jpg

Could have probably shifted it a bit more to the right to get rid of the part that comes up on the drawers but hasn’t bothered me enough…..yet.

With the bumper cover attachment so my dog doesn’t scratch it up:

Only wish the material wasn’t as wrinkled, might look for a way to smooth it out a bit more. But it’s pretty thick stuff, especially with the added comfort foam option.

Otherwise, pretty happy with it as it should make protecting the interior and cleaning up after my dog much easier. Doesn’t move around at all after I added even more double sided velcro underneath.

Did some rearranging on the truck today nothing special. Moved my shovel to the ladder from a window panel. Love it so far can't really see it in rear view and it's not on my back up cam. Moved to one rotopax on each window panel as when I had two on each it rattled something fierce.

I bought two 6 inch foam mattresses today. Usually just one person sleeps in the back but my wife is mentioning she would like to give it a shot since we saw some nice campground in the sierras that won’t fit our travel trailers. Tents are out of the question for her. I’ll see how it goes

Touched up some minor scratches on the plastic nose of my 5 month old 4Runner. Amazing how little paint issues can catch your eye and bug the hell out of you
until you address it with touch up paint. When I was much younger I used to be a detailer at a British Leyland Dealership (Jags, Jensen's, MG's) and that where I learned
how to use touch up paint. I still have a pretty steady hand (when I don't drink too much the night before)

Care to share any details for this. I have to touch up my 4Runner and my wife's BMW. Both are white. Thanks!
