New 2024 TRD ORP, 200 miles so far. I changed the front grill and noticed this cracking (see pics).

    Is this normal?

Yup, that’s just the cracking that the outside surface of a casting develops after it gets poured as molten aluminum.

Like @McSpazatron said, all of our trucks have that on the engine. It is normal, and not really a crack but left over from the mold when the metal was cast.

Somewhere I read Toyota says their "rough" engine casting radiate heat better than a smooth surface.

As others stated, it’s casting marks. Normal

Fortunately something cant be “cracking” when there are no cracks. As point of reference, compare your picture to a plumber reaching underneath a sink. Now that’s a real crack, and both are normal.

Congrats, and enjoy the next 350k trouble-free miles…

I’m pretty sure that they won’t fix this one under warranty…

I could have gone all day without seeing that (with the brown stain).
I'm just requoting this to ruin someone else's breakfast.
