What was your itinerary? Which end did you start with and end? Camp overnight? Which camping area?

Camped Murphy B (slept inside 4runner on a child air mattress on 1/2 of the rear cargo area), start pot ash road to Schaffer switch backs, and exited at mineral bottom. Hard scrabble was rough had to use the magic button (A-Trac twice). Rory from trail mater said hard scrabble was torn up bad. Yes I went there and got a tee shirt. 20241017_215059_HDR.jpg

    The sights are spectacular
I absolutely love running i40 from Amarillo to the west coast. Its absolutely beautiful scenery. i70 west of Vail headed into Utah is what i consider the prettiest stretch of interstate highway in the US.

Wow good for you! From Orlando... that's where I live. Baldwin Park to be exact. Would love to hear more about this.

Thanks for sharing your trip and pics. You had a great adventure.
If you think your in-vehicle sleeping gear could benefit from improvement, I highly suggest a cot.
I usually place a closed cell backpacker pad on cot then a self inflating Stansport air mattress. Compact and comfortable. Storage under cot is easy access. Second row seat up ,drivers side ,is comfy for reading and changing clothing.IMG_4911.jpg IMG_6053.jpg
