yet another tire question thread

Oh mighty chromed holmes. I come asking for advice.

Got a stage 2R eibach lift with a 1 in the back 2.5 up front and jba greased control arms with sumosprings.

My summers are done (summer tires)

Would like to get bigger tires and not do any body cutting or wheel well trimming etc. (In spring)

Any advice?

^On stock wheels, stock tire size 265/70-17 is the largest that'll fit with zero trimming. If you go to 4th gen wheels with more inset (numerically higher offset), 255/80-17 will clear, but looks uglier with narrower stance.

 

Lift does not stop rubbing on an IFS system. If you want larger tires, you will need to trim at minimum. The proper offset will also minimize some rubbing. I put on 285/70R17's with no lift yet. I had to remove front mud flaps and some minor trimming on the front bumper.
