Hi folks, just finished a 1400 mile towing trip down to Texas with my 2024 runner, and ended up passing the 5000 mile mark with about 300 miles to finish when the 5000 mile maintenance notice came up and blanked out the information available for average mgp and average speed. Rode the rest of the miles home without the digital speed showing, but figured out how to get that to show after playing with it. My question is how to cancel the maintenance message completely. I've tried the directions of pushing the trip meter to screen a, and then pressing the start button again without starting the engine, but not doing something correctly. Tried finding the information in the owners manual for my 2024 4 runner but not finding it. Anyone know of a page number that I can look it up? I'm sure all who do their own oil changes are not going back to the dealer to reset the message. Appreciate any direction given.

It is a pain at first, and I have to look it up on the web each time.

How to Reset the 4Runner Maintenance Light
If you know you’ve just had an oil change and your Toyota maintenance light hasn’t turned off, follow these simple steps to reset the 4Runner maintenance light:

    1. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the first position- don’t crank the engine just yet. If you have a push-button model, press the button twice.
    2. Push and hold the trip meter reset button on the dashboard, then turn your key to the second position.
    3. Continue to hold the odometer button for 10 seconds total. This should cause the Toyota 4Runner maintenance light to flash, possibly beep, then turn off.
    4. After it’s off, release the odometer button then start the car. If you see the light still on, repeat the process once or twice more to turn it off.
    5. If you have a multi-color display, all you have to do is select the cog icon on the display, select Scheduled Maintenance, then confirm your selection.

Thanks everyone for the quick response. Figured out from your info how to clear off screen. Took a photo so I can remember how to do so next time.
