This particular area was Green Creek if I can remember my Aspens correctly.. North of Virginal Lakes but not quite as north as Twin Lakes.. Also messed around at Virginia, Lundy, Parker/Walker canyons, the obligatory June loop, Deadman Creek, McGee, Rock Creek and finally the North Lake/Sabrina and South Lake area out of Bishop. Lot's of leaf peeping and a good amount of brook trout hunting sprinkled in.

crob42, spent many years camping/fishing the High Sierra’s. Lee Vining creek and the lakes off of Tioga Pass Road was among my favorite.

Did you happen to drive Hell's Backbone Road? I've never done it, because every time I pass through Escalante and Boulder I seem to be pressed for time and trying to get somewhere, but it's been on my bucket list for many years.

The Hogback section of Hwy 12 is a road everyone should drive at least once in their life.

I have an issue with heights and was so glad that that I was driving the 4R rather than my RV AND that there was no oncoming traffic! I straddled the centerline through the Hogback section doing about 15 MPH while trying not to vomit!

But hey, you powered through it! That's what matters.

I'll give you two roads you should seriously avoid, given what you just said; the road to the top of Pike's Peak, and Horseshoe Meadows Road, in Lone Pine. Looking out the driver's window and having no shoulder, no guard rail, and looking straight down for thousands of feet is a harrowing experience. Some people feel that way about 550 (the "Million Dollar Highway"), but I honestly think those other two have it beat by miles.

I survived Black Bear Pass in Colorado without passing out so I can handle pretty much anything. I may not be happy about it but I can deal. That being said, I won't be doing Black Bear again unless I'm walking it!

That is one of the craziest roads I have driven. The craziest was on the Northwest portion of Maui. A two direction road that’s only one car wide and a cliff with no guardrail 6” from the edge of the road.

Tried to get up Mt Patterson in CA but couldn't get to the top. Then drove North until a bit north east of Tahoe.

You must be talking about the road to Hana. Rental car agencies don't want you on that road, it's in your rental contract. We took a rental RV. Pretty tight in places.

Nope. Route 340 on the other side of the island. Road to Hana was nothing compared to this one.
