In the owner’s manual that second-from-left position is occupied by a switch for the automatic running boards.

On my ‘22 ORP the switches were as follows, left to right:
    • Multi-terrain monitor camera
    • Blank
    • 120v Power Outlet
    • Windshield Wiper De-icer

I have since added the DR KDSS switch.

my 22 has the front camera view button at the top and I also added the switch for my ditch lights on the blank spot.

the bottom was blank so I added the battery voltage

How do you like the DR KDSS switch? Is it noticeable? I've been going back and forth on purchasing/installing for at least a year

Yes. Good for washboard roads, and that annoying stretch in my neighborhood with way too many speed bumps.

I bought the Elite with the dedicated Toyota harness. At this point my use has been light and mandatory rather than likely needed. Where I live, if the trailer has electric brakes the tow vehicle legally has to have a controller. My buddy bought a 17.5 foot aluminum boat with a 115 hp Merc outboard which with trailer weighs just under 3000 lbs. It's a nice trailer with brakes and I wanted to share the towing load on fishing trips so I installed it for just that alone.

It works just fine I guess. Can't really tell as I haven't towed anything over about 1200 lbs or this boat without the controller. I have only towed utility trailers to the dump and jet ski trailers prior with my 5th Gen so don't have much to compare it to on this platform.

I have a 21 ORP. I do not have the KDSS control. Can you share what it is used for and why you added it?

KDSS acts as if there is almost no sway bar at very slow crawling speeds (to increase articulation) and very stiff at higher speed so less body rolls on pavement.
The only problem is when going off road but not slow (i.e. dirt roads, forest roads, washboards) KDSS makes the ride very harsh as it is stiff at these speeds.
The dr kdss mod lets you turn off kdss in these instances to make the ride less harsh

I put my Rough Country ditch lights switch in the lower dummy button. Too some modifying with a dremel but not too bad. Great spot.
