I regularly remove that little armor plate to hose off my KDSS, but despite that, it's looking rusty. Is there some kind of waterproofing/anti-corrosion stuff I can use after I hose it out? Because the hose isn't cutting it. I just found a brick of hardened playa dust in there, despite several cleaning attempts....

Jumping on this thread to see if anyone knows a part # for the front upper KDSS chassis mount bushing or a POC; found some play in the chassis bolt after rocking the truck back and forth while investigating a slight knocking noise after my last camp trip.

Maybe a type of spray on CPC would do the trick after you had cleaned, rinsed and dried it thoroughly.

I sprayed mine with fluid film. I also spray the area out behind the cover after I traverse anything that involves, dirt, gravel, or mud, really anytime I go off road. I pull the cover off every oil change to more thoroughly clean out behind there and to inspect and reapply the fluid film if necessary.

Before winter I remove the skid plate, clean, and then spray with surface shield. Did it for the second time last week
