Which is better at hiding dirt and scratches and other sorts of imperfections in the paint?

Which do you feel would hold
    Up better long term?

They would be the same as far as showing dirt, scratches, and paint imperfections IMO.

As far as holding up better - Toyota has long had a less than stellar history of paint quality, and seems to be declining somewhat on newer models based on forum posts. I have to say, however, that my MGM is holding up well. I've stopped worrying about minor dings and scratches, though. I'd prefer to maintain the mechanical side of things.

    White is the ticket.

MGM will be better long term since it has metallic flake to it. Underground is solid and has a flatness to it that shows a lot just like my army green did.

Yes, modern paint is thinner and not as resilient, but in my experience, white seems more resilient to showing scrapes, scratches and dirt than other colors particularly darker colors. My apologies for bringing up white. That wasn’t a direct answer to your question.

My white 5th gen is 6 years old and I haven’t had any paint issues, yet.

I’ve owned black, army, mgm, silver, lunar. Reality is no Toyota paint quality is “great”, just for a lot of owners, super white was apparently super bad.

MGM hid minor flaws the best just b/c it’s metallic. Albeit, it reflected up a little more than I liked, but that’s another topic.
